The beauty of having an MG Built to Order is that you get the car you always wanted, built the way you want it. The car is built to your specification, so there is absolutely no need to settle for red if you want a green MGB. No need to settle for cloth seats when you want leather. It’s just like travelling 30 years back in time and walking into an MG dealership showroom and ordering your MG. You can choose the colour, seats, hood, dash, suspension set up, engine, the list goes on.

Fortunately MGB parts in particular are not in short supply, you can get almost every part brand new and in fact we have built a car using nothing but new or reconditioned parts. This is not the cheapest method but effectively you receive a Brand New MGB!

Naturally the final price you will pay depends entirely on the specification you have decided on. There is a huge amount of time and effort involved in building these cars, putting a price on this process is difficult. One car may take 130 hours in the body shop and the next might only take 85. However Mercury Motorsport has done this with our pricing schedule below.

The build timescale will vary from car to car. Typically we will supply your Built to Order MG within 4 months. This timescale will increase depending on the ‘extra’s’ that you add i.e. fitting and wiring an electric fan.

Build times may vary but typically we supply your MG within 6 months. Payment is staged throughout the build at the end of which you collect your car and drive away! A comprehensive photographic record of the build is kept and customer visits are always welcomed.
