FORD Escort Gp4 Rally Car £19,995
This is a very serious rally car. Fitted with a very fresh XE 16 valve SBD engine on Jenvey throttle bodies with full dry sump system and MBE management. The gearbox is Quaife 5 speed Pro with hydraulic paddle clutch. Rear axle is fully floating 6 linked Atlas with ZF Ford Motorsport plated LSD with a 5.1:1 crown wheel & pinion. Suspension is tried and tested Bilstein 2 & ¼ coilovers all round with alloy hubs up front with Gp4 studs. The rear is obviously 6 linked with the Watts system. Brakes are AP alloy calipers all round with the separate bells and rotor system up front. All major components are new, have been replaced or overhauled with nothing older than 2 events. The bodyshell is full Gp4 spec with weld in cage, double skin floor pans with chassis skids etc and full professional wiring loom throughout with detachable ¼’s. The car is currently finished in the famous Colin McRae Mk2 Escort Livery. I could go on and on about the spec of this car, but it really needs to be viewed to appreciated. 1966 C Reg. This early chrome bumper MGB was first exported to the USA when new. In 1990 it returned to the UK and was restored and put into use as a summer pleasure vehicle in sunny Essex. The car was used until 2003 when it was taken off the road for a light restoration. It was then forgotten about for a few years and finally last summer it was returned to the roads but unfortunately lost its garage space so has become available for sale. The car is finished in Snowberry White with red leather interior and still retains its rare original disc wheels. It is very well presented throughout and is ready to use and enjoy.
